The first three days of September I have been able to get out at least a little bit in the morning and I have so far found a total of 19 species of warblers. The migration conditions the last few nights have not been great and at times it is tough to find pockets of birds. There are certainly migrants moving through (Cape May Warblers continue in good early numbers) but no big flocks anywhere I have been. With a potential heat wave on the way I suspect the next big push will come toward the end of the upcoming week when conditions get better for migration.
