I arrived home late last night from a very productive trip to Mexico (much more about that in a future post coming soon) and I apparently brought the warm weather with me as highs here today topped off in the mid 50's with plenty of sunshine...a far cry from the multiple days below zero while I was gone! I decided to try to get out and enjoy the unusually warm day in February as much as possible and after a walk with Wilson I thought I might see if the Yellow rumped Warbler made it through the harsh temperatures down in the East Meadows.  Happily the bird seemed to be doing fine and continued in the same general area.  Finding any warbler around here during winter is quite unusual and something I have only managed to do this year and last and it appears I'm on track to see at least one warbler in the county every month of the year again.
