Yellow rumped Warbler 'myrtle', Mitch's Way, Hadley, MA, Dec 25, 2025
I took advantage of a break from windy and snowy weather to head over to Hadley this Christmas morning to see if I could catch up again with both subspecies of Yellow rumped Warblers overwintering at the location. It was a bit breezy at times which made tracking down birds a bit of a challenge at times. Nonetheless I found at least seven 'Myrtle's' around but no luck with the 'Audubon's' despite quite a bit of looking and listening. Hopefully it was just being a bit quiet today and is still in the area.
